KARST speaks to us of a skin in continuous transformation. It offers a reflection on how we construct our own bodies, detaching that construction from the labels and disciplines that have normalized them throughout history. Jane Bennett’s work Vibrant Matter serves as inspiration and a guide to the possibilities for rethinking how we understand our own bodies and those of others, how we coexist with them, and how we can reformulate our idea of society through artistic practice. In this way, by working from an artistic and emotional dimension, we can transform the way we relate to nature in order to imagine, from the present, new futures that build an ecological “now” for everyone.
