CONCERT
“ENTRE FELDMAN”
ARXIS ENSEMBLE & NIÑO DE ELCHE
Niño de Elche and Arxis Ensemble headline the closing concert of this ninth edition, and we can venture to say that it is one of the most daring and ambitious proposals in the history of the RESIS Festival. After previously working at the REGA artistic residency in the Cidade da Cultura in Santiago de Compostela, the ever-iconoclastic voice of Paco Contreras and the sonic precision of Arxis Ensemble will present a program of absolute hybridization between performance, electronics, and chamber music, complemented by images conceived for the occasion by Lois Patiño, one of Galicia’s most prestigious filmmakers and visual artists. The program will feature two world premieres: Arder by Hugo Gómez-Chao, and Entre Feldman by Niño de Elche and Hector Cavallaro. They will also work on pieces by Rebecca Saunders, Morton Feldman, and José Manuel López López in an experience that revolves around the concept of transformation and new cultural codes. The Entre Feldman show promises to transcend the boundaries of traditional contemporary music to directly address the identity and memory of the viewer.
